About

Built bya builder.

Practical expertise built through real application — not theory, not coursework, but genuine daily use of Claude to design, build, and deliver across a wide range of domains.

Background & Story

Eastside AI Education started from a simple frustration: most people in this community — and their kids — are already using AI, but almost nobody is using it well. They're getting mediocre results, trusting things they shouldn't, and missing the real leverage that comes from knowing how to work with a model like Claude rather than just at it.

The tutoring here isn't built on someone else's curriculum. It's built on hundreds of hours of real work — web apps, design tools, automations, games — all built with Claude as a genuine collaborator. That hands-on experience is what gets passed on in every session.

The approach to teaching comes from a core belief: the school system has trained students to chase grades instead of understanding, and that's a problem that follows people into their careers. Here, there are no grades, no judgment, and no pressure — just an honest effort to help each person actually get it in a way that sticks.

Based in Sammamish, serving the broader Eastside community including Issaquah, Redmond, and Bellevue. Sessions available in-home or virtually.

Teaching Philosophy

AI literacy isn't about memorizing prompts. It's about building a new way of thinking — one that lets you direct, challenge, and create with AI rather than just copy what it gives you.

01

No judgment, ever. Every student walks in with a different background and different pressures. Sessions are a safe space — the only goal is progress, not performance.

02

Understanding beats memorization. Reciting a prompt won't help you next week. Knowing why it worked will. Every session is built around critical thinking, not rote repetition.

03

Every student is a different puzzle. There's no one-size-fits-all lesson plan here. Sessions adapt in real time to where you actually are, not where a curriculum says you should be.

04

If you didn't get it, that's on me. Confusion isn't a student failure — it's a teaching failure. If something isn't clicking, we slow down, find the gap, and fix it.

05

The goal is independence. A great session means you leave needing a tutor a little less. The aim is to build thinkers, not dependents.
